TechTips - DIY Intake Manifold Basic "Iknow this plenum isn't the mostefficient design out there, butI'll explain the reasons whyI think it is beneficial. Themain reason I wanted somethinglike this, is that the stockplenum is vulnerable for boostleaks...And boost leaks/lessair = less HP....I tapped outthe PCV re-entry ports on therunners to 1/8" NPT andput plugs in there. Now I nolonger have to deal with leaksthere or at the EGR or IACV whichI no longer have. It also elminated5-6" of runner length whichthe stock lower plenum has.
