"A lifetime of care for the life of your pet." That's more than just a slogan at
West Kendall Animal Hospital; it’s what the veterinarians and staff of our hospital focus on every day while we’re caring for our patients. Our wellness care begins with the first puppy or kitten visit and continues throughout a pet's long, happy life. Exams every six months, stool and heartworm checks at recommended intervals, vaccinations, a microchip for identification, spaying or neutering, year-round heartworm prevention, home dental care, and eventually, geriatric screening for older pets—all help us help you maintain your pet's excellent health, including birds, ferrets, reptiles, bunnies, and exotic pets!
Sometimes even the healthiest pets become ill, and whether it's a short-term problem (vomiting and/or diarrhea), or something more serious (managing kidney disease or repairing a fractured leg), our veterinarians and staff provide compassionate, professional diagnostic, medical, and surgical solutions. When a sick pet is brought in by an owner, the first step is a complete physical exam by the veterinarian. After the exam, the veterinarian discusses the various diagnostic and treatment options available and – in most cases - provides a written estimate. It’s our goal to make sure that our clients understand what is going on with their pets as well as the recommendations presented to them. Our staff excels at responding to clients’ questions and concerns, as well as educating pet owners about healthy pet care and wellness.
